Amazfit Helio Ring sits in an awkward middle ground. At $299, it's $100 more than RingConn but doesn't deliver proportionally better tracking. However, it has two unique features: NFC payments and VO2 max estimation.
The NFC contactless payments from your ring actually work—and work well. Once set up in the Zepp app, you can tap to pay at most terminals.
VO2 max estimation is the other standout feature. Using heart rate data during workouts, the ring estimates your cardiovascular fitness level. For runners and cyclists tracking fitness progress, this is useful.
Sleep tracking is solid but not exceptional. The Zepp Health app shows sleep stages, breathing quality, and recovery metrics.
Battery life at 4-5 days is the shortest of the serious contenders. You'll be charging twice a week.
Helio Ring makes sense for two groups: Zepp Health ecosystem users who want everything in one app, and people who really want NFC payments on their ring.
