Quick Take
Score: 6.2/10 | The Secretlab Titan Evo looks impressive and has excellent build quality, but fundamental ergonomic shortcomings make it a poor choice for serious work sessions.
Why We Don't Recommend This Chair for Work
Gaming chairs marketed as ergonomic office chairs are not the same thing.
The Flat Backrest Problem
The adjustable lumbar system cannot compensate for the fundamental problem of a flat backrest. True ergonomic chairs have contoured backrests designed around spine curvature. The Titan Evo's flat back with an adjustable lumbar dial is trying to fix a design flaw after the fact.
Missing Critical Adjustments
The complete absence of seat pan depth adjustment is a major ergonomic oversight. For proper posture, you need 2-3 fingers of space between seat edge and knee. Without depth adjustment, you're stuck with whatever length Secretlab decided.
The Firm Seat Issue
Reviews consistently note the overly firm seat. Gaming chairs prioritize aesthetics over all-day comfort.
What the Titan Evo Does Well
Build quality is excellent. Three sizes available up to 395 lbs. 5-year warranty is decent.
The Bottom Line
At $549, the Secretlab Titan Evo costs more than the HON Ignition 2.0 ($399) while offering objectively worse ergonomics for work. Gaming chairs serve a different purpose.
